I'm the news editor at the Dorchester Reporter, an award-winning weekly
newspaper covering Boston's largest neighborhood, and its website,
DotNews.com, which is updated daily.

I also write
The Lit Drop, a popular blog for the Dorchester Reporter
covering City Hall and the State House, and tweet
here.

In Feb. 2011, I was
named one of The Washington Post's "best
state-based political Tweeters."

Since 2006, I've freelanced for the
State House News Service, an
independent
wire service covering politics and policy inside and outside the
Massachusetts State House.

I've also appeared as a political analyst on
WBUR 90.9 FM, Boston's
National Public Radio station, and Neighborhood Network News, a
community access cable television channel.

I've covered two Democratic National Conventions, the 2006 and 2010
Massachusetts gubernatorial elections, and the corruption trial of Boston
City Councilor Charles "Chuck" Turner.

While an intern at the
Wall Street Journal's D.C. bureau in 2005, I wrote
stories on economic indicators, the legal struggle over Terri Schiavo, and
the Congressional hearing into steroid use in Major League Baseball.

I was born and raised in Quincy, Massachusetts.

Resume is available
here.

(Separately: I've
sometimes been in the right place at right time.)
